The children we serve in Cite' Soleil, Haiti, come to the Luken Foundation building that we now fully own! It is here that we provide 76 children with daily hot meals, after-school tutoring, outdoor activities, and most importantly, Bible study in a loving Christian environment. We also host over 300 children in our summer camp program and up to 400 people in our community church gatherings. The Luken Foundation building is a haven in an impoverished city not governed by law enforcement but ruled by gangs.

Our goal is to equip the children with confidence, knowledge, and the realization of God's love to be self-sustaining when they become adults. We hope that a ripple effect will occur, and once they reach adulthood, they will want to give back to the children in their communities in the same way.

Our Mission

At the Luken Foundation we share the light of Jesus Christ by providing love and support to impoverished children and their families in Cite´ Soleil, Haiti.  

What We Believe

Luken Foundation believes that change must start with Haiti's children. They have a right to education, a right to grow in stature, and a right to speak up for what they strongly believe is true and good. We believe that by providing these children with an education and introducing them to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ, they will be strong, capable, and grounded with a God-centered heart. The education provided will equip them with the skills and training needed to build a brighter, self-sufficient, independent, and strong future.

We believe in the people of Haiti. They endure extreme hardships and have little to no support from their city or national government. However, their resilience and desire to thrive despite their situation is awe-inspiring. Although their needs are many, their hearts are beating with strong hope and faith in tomorrow.

We believe sharing the gospel will teach people that through Jesus Christ, indeed, all things are possible no matter the circumstances.  

We believe one person answering God's call can make a difference in the lives of many, thereby igniting a nation to pull itself up out of the ashes.

About Us

The Luken Foundation was born from a specific vision and God-given desire from Luken Ermilus, a young Christian Haitian man.  Since meeting him in 2014, we have seen the lives of many children and their families changed. In 2016, we made his vision ours.

Our registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity has provided educational scholarships for over 75 children and 24 of them have received tuition assistance for secondary education. Many children in Haiti do not attend primary school and statistics show a much higher number of unschooled children at the secondary level.

In addition to education tuition scholarships, we also provide:​

• Two-Month Summer Camp

• Safe Shelter (for older kids attending school in Port-Au-Prince)

• Health and Medical Care​

The Luken Foundation would like to reiterate that we are a Christian organization who teach the love of Jesus Christ to children and their families.  We teach through weekly bible study, youth sermons, music worship and through our Sunday community church services.
