Tuition Assistance
Haiti has extreme challenges when it comes to educating its youth.
The people living in Cite´ Soleil, Haiti, the poorest slum in the Western Hemisphere, make an average of $1.24/day* while the average cost of tuition is $150/year for primary-age students and $250/year for secondary-age students, making basic education only a dream for most. They don’t have enough money to send their children to school. The latest data shows only a 53% completion rate for primary-age school children** and less than 10% completion rate for secondary school children***.
We believe that all children should receive an education. Because of our wonderful donors, we have been able to provide 76 children with primary education scholarships, and, recently, 24 of these children received tuition assistance for secondary education! For the past four years, we have counted on contributions to continue to bless these children and their future.
